Made to be a sibling for Kingston it has the same spinning specs, 3 plies, DK weight & woolen spun. The 4 shades of Amalgam are made by varying the percentages of Targhee & Welsh Mountain Black -which you can maybe imagine is a naturally black wool. This yarn is bouncy & round & retains quite a bit of lanolin making is a dream to knit.

 Amalgam 1 is 100% Targhee

Amalgam 2 is 80% Targhee 20% Welsh Mountain Black

Amalgam 3 is 60% Targhee 40% Welsh Mountain Black

Amalgam 4 is 24% Targhee & 76% Welsh Mountain Black.
